The students of the Police College in Halle an der Saale are confronted in their practical semester with first murder cases, which they have to solve with the support of their trainers in the homicide department. Of course, as beginners, they also make mistakes and have to learn again and again on their way to becoming accomplished officers. In “Bloody Rookies” a case is dissected, discussed and solved in each episode in the interplay between the university and real life. In addition, the series accompanies the private entanglements of students, lecturers and trainers.
