Masterclass with Christian Schwochow

In this masterclass, Christian Schwochow spoke about his transition from journalism to directing and about growing up in East Germany as a formative influence on his artistic work.

At the centre of the session was his working approach, shaped by in-depth research and a precise attention to character.

Further topics included his international directing work, among others for The Crown and Munich – The Edge of War, as well as differences between production cultures and creative hierarchies in the UK and Germany.
