Director: Nick Baker Monteys

“I’m off” a young blonde haired man says, throwing his backpack over a wall.
Julian (Robert Stadlober) is a psychiatric patient and wants to hike from Berlin to southern Germany in order to heal his dead friend’s heart sick father through the power of walking. Despite Germany’s roads not leading to the Spanish town of Santiago de Compostela, but Swabian Tuttlingen, the mood is still esoterically, almost religiously impregnated.

Soon he no longer travels alone, but in company. First he’s joined by an assistant doctor (Jessica Schwarz), who’s lost “her heart” after the death of a patient, then by a frustrated housewife and mother (Anna Schudt) and last but not least by a ratty Berlin detective (Martin Feifel) who wants to return Julian to the institution he has escaped from.
