War Horse
Anniversary
Royal National Theatre | London
8th of November 2018 – 5th of January 2019
Directors: Katie Henry | Tom Morris
Based on the beloved novel by Michael Morpurgo, the National Theatre’s internationally-acclaimed production of War Horse is an unforgettable theatrical experience. Hailed by Time Magazine as ‘A Landmark Theatre Event’, War Horse is a spectacular, powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs. At its heart, are astonishing life-sized puppets by South Africa’s Tony Award® winning Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to thrilling life on stage.
War Horse will return to the National Theatre 11 years after its NT debut for a limited run in November 2018. War Horse at the NT marks the centenary of the Armistice which brought World War I to an end and there will be a special performance on the 11 November to mark the day.
The show will play on the Lyttleton Theatre stage with the current UK touring production, in repertoire from 8 November – 5 January 2019.
